The tournament will be divided into four leagues with the winners of each playing the two semi- finals. The winners will then compete in the Grand Final. Each child participating will receive a certificate and at the end of the competition the Education Network Trophy will be awarded to the winning school, along with medals for the winners and runners up. The winning school will also receive an engraved plaque to keep for the year before passing it on to next year's winners.

Shaun Porter, Director of The Education Network, said, “We are very pleased to be involved with South Tyneside Year 2 Football Festival. As a company we want to become involved with the local community and promote a healthy lifestyle. By sponsoring this festival we aim to create a spirit of sportsmanship amongst young people. There will be four prizes of £50 for the teams which have shown to embrace the aspects of Fair Play.”
