Women and STEM – How can more women be encouraged to develop careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths?

14th Mar 2014

International Centre for Life, Newcastle, noon – 2pm

As part of Science and Engineering Week 2014, Parliament’s Outreach Service, Newcastle Science City and the Institute of Physics are holding an event to show how select committees work, giving the audience the opportunity to ask the expert panel how we can increase the numbers of women working in Science, Technology and Engineering.

The event will give you an opportunity to find out how Parliament examines and influences science policy in the UK. As part of the audience at this lively event, you can take on the role of select committee members to quiz eminent North East experts as they debate this issue.

The committee and expert panel of witnesses will be chaired by Pat Glass MP.
