Sponsored by the Department for Education, the Supply Teachers and Temporary Staff framework can be used to recruit all
temporary and fixed term teaching and non-teaching staff, if you are from a school, college or other educational
establishment, such as an academy, trust, nursery, pupil referral unit, children centre or further education institution, across
the UK.

You can recruit qualified supply teachers, unqualified teachers, education support staff and other temporary staff,
including Headteachers, Senior Leadership, admin and clerical staff, IT staff, finance staff, estates and maintenance, and even cleaners who will be paid via the agency suppliers on the framework.

The framework ensures that temporary workers from agencies have been background screened to the robust standards
outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education. You can also transfer your temporary workers to be permanently employed
by your organisation with no finder’s fees applicable as long as they have been in post for 12 weeks and you have given 4
weeks’ notice to the supplier.

You can also use the framework to hire employees on fixed-term appointments, who will be paid via your payroll but have a
fixed end date to their employment. If you know a worker who is not currently signed up to an agency supplier, and you’d
like to hire and pay them via an agency, you can find a supplier who will background screen and payroll them for you. This is
called a “nominated worker.”

Benefits:

• Background screening and safeguarding conducted to DfE standards
• Suppliers are audited and accredited to show they have the best practice standards in education recruitment
• Free transfer to perm (“temp-to-perm”) after 12 weeks in post, subject to 4 weeks’ notice
• Consistent terms and conditions
• Transparency of costs
