AfA look forward to welcoming you at this year’s National Conference where helping you raise the educational aspirations of your pupils will be our key focus.

We are delighted to confirm some of the speakers, a stellar line-up already and we may yet have more surprises in store!

Confirmed speakers include:

Sir Robin Bosher, National Director, Quality and Training, Ofsted

Dr Lee Elliot Major, CEO, The Sutton Trust; Low social mobility and lack of educational opportunity is arguably the biggest social challenge of our times - during his keynote Lee will explore Improving Social Mobility Through Education and the role schools play in this.

The BBC and Microsoft are joining forces to bring you the most exciting project based learning tool to date; The Enchanted Kingdom. Hear how your classrooms will be transformed by the most ambitious 3D nature film ever made and how Achievement for All will be providing access to a unique range of resources linked to it.

Whitney Iles, CEO Project 507, Social Entrepreneurs and Community Activist

Also sharing some aspirational insights will be leading Paralympian Swimmer Kate Grey who will be sharing her story - A Paralympic Swimmers journey to Athlete and beyond.

Plus Brian Lamb OBE, who led the Lamb Inquiry into SEN and Parent Needs.


Hands-on workshops and jaw-dropping immersive cinema

To give you some real practical knowledge we have created a series of carefully designed workshops, full of tips and advice on the new curriculum and assessment which you can take back to the staff room. You will also be amongst the first to preview The Enchanted Kingdom. This ground-breaking learning resource, developed by the BBC and Microsoft, features the most ambitious 3D nature film ever made. It could change our thinking for years to come!
