How Mainstream Schools and Alternative Provision can work more effectively together.
Challenging learners are pupils who struggle in mainstream school setting for a variety of reasons, such as previous exclusion, behaviour issues, short-or long-term illness, school refusal etc.
In 2019, Schools North East was approached by schools in the region and asked to deliver an event around effectively educating challenging learners. The conference was a great success and is now an important feature of our annual events calendar. The conference will focus on topics such as behaviour management, prevention strategies, parental engagement and developing the curriculum for challenging learners.
