Newcastle University Business School is hosting a STEM breakfast to encourage academics, teachers and students to look at why there are so few females working or studying in STEM subject areas.
Professor Averil MacDonald will be presenting her paper "Not For People Like Me?" A report into under-represented groups in Science, Technology & Engineering. Those attending willl hear the latest recommendations on encouraging under-represented groups into STEM - ideas that are capturing the imagination of STEM companies and outreach professionals across Europe.
