A School Mental, Health & Wellbeing Support Programme has been designed to equip you the employer to understand, recognise and support your staff during and after the Covid-19 pandemic and ensure there is sufficient mental, health and wellbeing practices in place.
The Covid-19 pandemic has upended nearly every aspect of today’s work environment, with staff finding they are suddenly working remotely. You may realise more and more staff are dealing with stress, anxiety, isolation, and disconnection, and in the weeks or months ahead this may take a toll. The concern is when staff is working remotely and in isolation, they miss out on regular social interaction and connection with co-workers. The longer staff are in isolation the harder it will be for schools to integrate them back into the working environment when the Covid-19 pandemic is over.
The 3 main key objectives for the programme:
1/ The programme offers support to managers providing them with the knowledge to be able to support their staff in maintaining wellbeing.
2/ Provides all staff access to knowledge and information of how to manage their own wellbeing whilst working from home and also give consideration when they return back to work.
3/ Support the School in implementing a Mental, Health & Wellbeing strategy which will address the critical challenges they are and will face; and also in delivering the strategy to tackle factors that impact upon staff returning back to work.
Main areas of focus of the programme:
Delivering a programme that supports your School to proactively engage with your staff now ensuring when the UK comes out of the Covid-19 you will have the resources to maintain your school ensuring the systems and procedures are in place to support the wellbeing of staff.
The programme on offer:
The School Mental, Health & Wellbeing Support programme is designed to provide Schools with the platform to engage with your staff NOW and to have a strategy in place POST Covid-19 pandemic. The programme has 2 key phases: Phase 1, access to CPD training; and Phase 2, is designed to work with schools to put in place proactive strategies to manage employees by creating and implementing the infrastructure.
Phase 1A: Staff will have access to online workshops:
- CPD Health & Wellbeing
- CPD Mental Health
Phase 1B: Managers will have access to an online workshop:
- CPD Managing Employee Mental, Health & Wellbeing
Phase 2: We will work with you to develop and implement a Mental, Health & Wellbeing:
- Carrying out a workplace analysis
- Developing a strategy to cover NOW and POST
- Putting in place employee policies i.e. Lone Working Buddy System, Lone Working Risk Assessment, Mental Health Awareness, Health and Wellbeing, Workplace Mediation, etc.
