Risk Assessment Training

The session will introduce individuals to the concept of risk assessment in the educational environment and challenge individuals to consider the hazards in their workplace, introducing suitable and sufficient controls where required.  The session will introduce risk assessors to an objective way of evaluating the level of risk using a risk matrix.

By the end of this workshop, learners will be able to:

• Describe the HSEs ”5 steps to risk assessment”
• Apply the “5 steps to risk assessment” to work related tasks, controlling the overall level of risk
• Review work-based risk assessment
• Explain how they would dynamically assess situations falling outside the initial scope of an assessment
