Respect for Other Cultures - A British Value

7th Jul 2015

Responding to pupils’ cultural development in relation to British values: a one day FREE conference for senior leaders and classroom practitioners from all phases and sectors.

The event will allow consideration of how schools can successfully embed international work into the curriculum to support the SMSC agenda. Colleagues from British Council will make the connection with DfE advice on the promotion of fundamental British values and outline school linking opportunities. In addition to case studies from local schools, there will be opportunity to reflect on current provision and receive information provided about national and European funding programmes.

Our region has a strong tradition of schools embracing global linking to help our learners and staff  develop a positive outlook towards cultural and linguistic difference. This conference will celebrate achievement and share best practice examples from across the region which underpin work to encourage respect for people of all faiths, races and cultures.
Early application for limited places is strongly recommended.
