Presenting Difficult Messages workshop

Please note at each venue there are 15 places available for this workshop.  

Nervous about having that difficult conversation?  The aim of this workshop is for participants to come away with greater confidence, as a result of learning new skills and thorough preparation techniques. This confidence will enable you to manage typical difficult messages, more effectively and with greater success.

Presenting Difficult Messages training is an essential element of staff induction and part of their ongoing CPD programme.

Workshop content:

- Presenting as a leader with influence and empathy

- Dealing with barriers to presenting difficult messages

- Preparing and structuring a difficult message

- Medium for delivery

- Handling challenges, interruptions and questions

- Delivering your difficult message

Learning objectives:

- Communicate as a leader and a presenter with influence and empathy, verbally, face to face and in written communications

- Overcome personal barriers to communicating difficult messages

- Deliver tough messages whilst maintaining positive relationships

- Anticipate reaction to the messages and have strategies for handling challenges, interruptions and questions

- Choose the best medium for delivery of the message

- Prepare and structure effectively in order to communicate a difficult message

- Adapt the message by considering the intended recipients

- Recognise that presenting difficult messages as a ‘one-off’ event is much less likely to be effective than if a broader ‘process’ is used

Delegates will receive:

£199 + vat per delegate (5% discount on the overall cost for 3 or more delegates attending from the same school)
