Policy Roundtable Event

Join Schools North East for the first roundtable roadshow event and have your say as we develop our ‘Manifesto for North East Education’.  Make sure that you get your chance to contribute to the education policy debate as Schools North East fights to ensure that the voices of North East school leaders are heard by those responsible for creating education policy.

Our first event begins with a focus on North East Context and promoting a positive narrative around North East education.  We are delighted to announced that we will be joined by Professor Stephen Gorard, from Durham University Evidence Centre for Education, who will set the scene for the discussions by giving a detailed breakdown of the North East’s school context, the impact of long-term deprivation on our schools, and how our region differs from the geographical areas where so much educational policy is developed.

The workshop is designed for to enable school leaders to help us create detailed recommendations to implement our Manifesto for North East Education, from which we will continue to press government and policymakers to act upon. 

The event will run from approx. 8am-12pm and is free of charge to attend.
