NETPark along with Business Durham and Durham University are delighted to offer North East teachers this FREE CPD day inspired by the LUMIERE light festival (14 – 17 November, Durham).

LUMIERE involves the creation and installation of a series of magical artworks using the medium of light.  The day will give an insight into the scientific and engineering challenges which artists and technicians have to overcome to make the realisation of these works possible.  With some artworks, art adds a new dimension to our understanding of science and engineering, revealing principals and discoveries in innovative and unexpected ways. With other artworks, a knowledge of science and engineering is fundamental to the process of development and the method of installation.
