Metacognition Masterclasses

17th Jan 2019

Metacognition is about the ways learners monitor and purposefully direct their learning. Metacognitive strategies are the strategies we use to monitor or control our cognition, such as checking that our memorisation technique was accurate or selecting the most appropriate cognitive strategy for the task we are undertaking. However, implementing metacognition in the classroom remains challenging.

Join us for our literacy and numeracy focused, metacognition masterclasses.  Both events will be aimed at primary and secondary delegates and will be around how you specifically implement metacognition into your classroom.

This event will provide a deep dive into the evidence and practical implications of metacognition.
