Making the most of Mobile Technology in the Computing Curriculum and beyond

As technology changes, more of it becomes, smaller, faster and mobile. Children now have much more technology at their fingertips at home than ever before. How can schools make best use of their pupil’s skills and enthusiasm, the school’s funds and teacher expertise to deliver a high quality curriculum in our mobile world? 

 

The course focuses on:

• What is mobile Technology?
• The practicalities of using mobile technology
• Connectivity inside and outside school
• How to store pupils work
• What are we going to do with mobile technology in the classroom?
• Sharing content and including pupils with systems like Displaynote and Nearpod
• What’s available to use in the classroom? Contribution and demonstration from a classroom teacher and co-ordinator.
• Presentations by suppliers such as XMA, RM, Apple, Sherston, 2Simple, TAG and others

Time:         9.30am to 3.30pm
Venue:       Whinfield Primary School, Augusta Close, Darlington DL1 3HT (please park in Asda car park).
