Key Stage 2 French: Get off to a flying start

This course, based around a highly innovative new scheme of work trialled and co-developed by five primary schools, offers comprehensive linguistic support and addresses the needs of the Key Stage 2 curriculum. It illustrates effective ways to motivate and engage learners so that they become more confident, competent linguistics.

The course will provide:
A  wide range of activities clearly targeted at  building your confidence in key language skills
Practical and engaging ideas for delivering effective lessons in French at Key Stage 2
Techniques for building pronunciation, memorisation, enhancing writing and promoting co-operative learning
Free resources from a fully comprehensive scheme of work for getting up and running with French or Spanish

This course is suitable for:
Key Stage 2 classroom teachers who will be delivering languages at Key Stage 2
Non linguists looking for support to teach French with confidence
Heads and deputy heads overseeing the curriculum
Secondary teachers who may be delivering or supporting Key Stage 2 language teaching and planning for transition

About the trainer…
Juliet Park, director of MFL at Yewlands Academy, is a renowned speaker at national and regional events, a vocational language specialist and a regular trainer and advisor to awarding bodies. She is best known for her creative ideas to inspire and motivate students, to develop linguistic competency and to enhance the performance at Key Stage3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
