ncfe holding FREE events around the country to introduce our V Cert qualifications and their benefits to school leaders.
The first two events will take place in Leeds and Newcastle this month from 4-6pm, and are open to all secondary schools and academies.
Featuring speakers from NCFE, the sessions will outline everything you need to know about offering V Certs to your pupils.
V Certs have been developed following government changes to GCSE-equivalent qualifications and are graded, contain both internally and externally assessed elements, and each one counts in the Key Stage for performance tables and the forthcoming Progress 8 measures.
So, by running V Certs, you can maintain the benefits that vocational qualifications bring to your school and academy pupils whilst also receiving recognition within your Key Stage 4 performance tables.
The agenda will be as follows:
16.00: Arrival – meet and greet with refreshments
16.15: Brief welcome and introduction
16.25: Introduction and background to V Certs – a look at the ideal approach and the resources available to help deliver and assess the qualifications
16.50: Case study – a real example of how a school has successfully delivered V Certs
17.00: Introduction to CareerHow – how this free career advice tool can aid your learners
17.30: Q&A and more refreshments
