Following the success of last year’s event, Education Durham are pleased to be delivering another History Conference on Tuesday 4 June 2024, hosted by Glenn Carter.

The theme this year will be ‘Support in primary history’ and the keynote speaker will be Tristan Hughes from History Hit who will be speaking about ‘The Roman Empire in the North: evidence of it’s existence’.

There is a range of speakers including Helen Crawford who will speak about developing history in EYFS; Sue Temple will be giving practical examples of how to support SEND in history and Glenn Carter will be showing how you can link local history into KS1 and KS2.

There will also be subject knowledge sessions on ‘school life’ in KS1, the Earliest Civilisations and the Ancient Greeks, and Gener8 will be providing an immersive, interactive experience, showcasing their sensory rooms that can be used to support the entire school curriculum.

Full day and half day booking options are available.
