Health and Wellbeing Champion workshop

9.30 am - 2.30 pm


16th January 2020 – Washington

28th January 2020 – Durham


Please note at each venue there are 15 places available for this workshop.


This practical and interactive workshop will build delegates’ awareness, knowledge and understanding of the key principles of health and wellbeing mental health needs within their school and community.  The Health and Wellbeing Champion will discover how to inspire and motivate colleagues and peers to make informed choices, leading to healthier, happier lives.


Health and Wellbeing Champions have an understanding of common mental health issues, knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness, ability to spot signs of mental ill health and skills to support positive wellbeing. The Health and Wellbeing Champion will undertake an audit of their existing mental health policy and practice, devise a school strategy to address areas for improvement and become the lead person in school and on making effective referrals.


Health and Wellbeing Champions play a crucial role within schools as they support, enable and promote the strategy across each area.


Workshop content:

- Champion the area of health and wellbeing

- Act as an information hub, signposting key services and resources

- Work as a local, dedicated on-site point of contact

- Run mini marketing campaigns to promote different wellbeing topics

- Organise inspiring live events to encourage healthy living

- Gather and monitor feedback to inform future initiatives

- Support the successful delivery of key elements of the school’s Wellbeing Strategy

£199 + vat per delegate (5% discount on the overall cost for 3 or more delegates attending from the same school)

Please note that this event can be provided 'in-house' at your school, a consortium meeting or a Bursar training event usually at significant savings per delegate (minimum 5 delegates). You will be asked in advance if you need a particular focus for the day which will be incorporated in our proposal.
