Future of education inspection: North East launch event

8th Jul 2015

Free

From September 2015, Ofsted is making far-reaching changes to the way it inspects schools, further education and skills (FES) and early years provision.

To give education leaders and practitioners an opportunity to learn more about the changes, Ofsted is holding a series of eight national launch events during June and July. Due to high demand, these events are now fully booked.

SCHOOLS NorthEast contacted Ofsted about the potential of putting on an additional event in the North East, facilitated by SCHOOLS NorthEast, which they have agreed to do.

Date: Wednesday 8 July
Time: 9:30am – 1pm
Venue: Carmel College, The Headlands, Darlington, DL3 8RW

The event will cover the two key changes:

  1. the new Common Inspection Framework and how it will impact on settings on the Early Years Register, maintained schools and academies and non-association independent schools
  2. Ofsted’s new frequent, shorter inspections for maintained schools and academies judged good at their last full inspection

This event is open to representatives from all schools and early years providers and is free to attend.

SCHOOLS NorthEast Partner Schools have received priority booking and limited spaces remain. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and we will only be accepting one delegate from each school.
