When was the last time you benchmarked your school's policies and practices against the main principal areas (9 protected characteristics) which are covered by the Equality Act 2010?

Workshop overview:

This workshop is designed to help you design and audit your equality and diversity processes and systems within your School.  You will have the knowledge to be able to benchmark against the main principal areas (9 protected characteristics) which are covered by the equality and diversity guidelines and legislation: age; disability; gender reassignment; marriage and civil partnership; pregnancy and maternity; race; religion and belief; sex; and sexual orientation.

Working towards the criteria will help your school to achieve areas of the Ofsted Inspection Framework, Quality of leadership in and management of the school, by showing how 'well the school promotes pupil's spiritual, moral, social and cultural development' and all pupil groups are making 'at least good progress' in attainment.

By attending this workshop you will be able to work towards either developing or enhancing the ‘Equality and diversity audit, policy and action plans’ to demonstrate your proactive working practices and also provide  an accurate ‘health check’ for your school’s culture.

Delegates attending this workshop will:
Understand the legal framework for the Equality Act 2010 (Equality Duty) and how it impacts in the workplace
