Frequently described as the ‘third teacher’, the learning environment offers a rich seam of potential learning opportunities across the curriculum. Key to releasing this is all adults knowing the value of the resources on offer to support new learning and embed prior experiences. When this is combined with a deep understanding of how young children learn and the unique needs and interests of the children they are working with, we see inspiring, high-quality practice in action.

Using a combination of video examples from our new resources package ‘Inside Out’, and practical activities; this inspiring course has been designed to enable you to ensure that all the members of your team have a clear understanding of the rationale behind the way your environment has developed, the teaching and learning opportunities which are aligned with your curriculum planning, and how it reflects the emerging interests and needs of your children.
