Education and training provider, Changing Relations have devised an engaging arts-based training for schools and organisations who are ready to embrace the role they have to play in tackling domestic abuse as part of their staff duty of care.

Wondering why you should prioritise this issue?

1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men are affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime.

For many years we have tended to see this as a private matter. But there are a range of ways this will be impacting your workplace:

  • Days of work missed
  • Productivity affected
  • Stalking and surveillance of staff whilst they are at your school
  • Staff leaving the school altogether and all the costs of recruitment, induction, teams being short-staffed this incurs

You may not have received disclosures but this does not mean it isn’t happening to those in your staff.

Could you get more from your staff by creating a more supportive workplace environment that proactively brings domestic abuse into the open as a topic you’re not afraid to address?

Places include lunch and 2 resource books to take away.

The day will run from 100am - 5pm.

This is an ideal opportunity for your HR Lead or Business Manager to come along and get a taste of our approach and if it is right for your school staff.

Past training participants have said:

“Gave me more confidence to have those conversations.”

“Broadened the context in which I understand domestic abuse”

“Films were very powerful, backed up by quality resources”

“I found the interactive session very engaging. Can’t wait to share my experience and new knowledge.”

“Changing Relations training format is very different to what you might be used to - they use arts and media as a conduit for deep and meaningful reflections without invading anyone's privacy.”
