Join the North of Tyne combined authority, Schools North East and Newcastle Research School for a free event on 'Looking ahead - school leaders key priorities for school improvement'
The purpose of the event is to support school leaders in identifying their key priorities for school improvement in light of the impact of covid and taking account of the best available evidence to support key decision making and prioritisation.
The EEF Guide to Supporting School Planning: A Tiered Approach to 2020-21’ guide will provide a focus on designing a tiered approach to prioritising your efforts and reviewing existing plans, geared around:
- high-quality teaching for all,
- targeted academic support, and
- wider strategies to support pupils in the year ahead.
The intended outcome will be schools supported in identifying and then focusing on a small number of strategies that are likely to make the biggest difference, enabling school leaders to make the best use of schools’ finite resources and using blended learning as a way of addressing and supporting this.
There will be allocated time for Q&A during the event and you have the opportunity to submit questions in advance of the event, as well as on the day.
This initial event is part of a series of events which are aimed to support school leaders and practitioners with their school improvement in light of the impact of covid.
The next event will take place in May and this will be a practical session to support classroom practitioners to address the strategies discussed.
