A and E  Dragsters      Gary Williams
B  Physics Demonstrations     Lawrence Cattermole
C  Teaching the New Energy with Toys    Helen Reynolds
Using Modelling in Electricity    Helen Pollard

A and E Dragsters – Make and Take
Have you taken part in the exciting Rockets workshop yet?  If so, now you can convert your rocket launcher into a propulsion system for your own dragster racer car or if you are new to compressed-air launching let us know when you book your place.  The dragsters are easy and cheap to make and from this workshop you will have a completed launcher and a class set of kits to take back to your school for racing fun.  Suitable for science teachers from lower, middle and upper schools.   NB This workshop has two parts, please book sessions A and E!

B  Physics Demonstrations
Demos and activities to engage all students in the maths side of physics.
During this workshop, we will look at hands-on ways of getting students to engage with mathematical or quantitative using low tech/low cost resources and aimed at accessing all capabilities.

C Teaching the New Energy with Toys
It's all about stores. This workshop is a chance to look at the changes to the teaching of energy and go away with a range of strategies for teaching it.
We apply the strategies to a wide range of toys and tricks to engage and enthuse your students.
Suitable for science teachers from lower, middle and upper schools.

D Using Modelling in Electricity
Review three models in depth, consider misconceptions, and devise a hierarchy of pupil responses in order to show progress.
Discuss ways of approaching modelling to challenge pupils at KS 4 and 5 in addition to the traditional introduction at KS3.
Suitable for science teachers from lower, middle and upper schools.
