Cardinal Hume – Sports Hall Extension

The project involved the removal of the façade to the existing sports hall to enable a new 2 storey extension to be constructed using a steel frame.

Internally the space includes large fitness suite and female changing area to the first and Gymnasium and male changing to the ground floor.
Changing rooms are complete with new showers, disabled toilet and benching.

Gym and fitness suite are provided with specialist flooring to allow various activities to be carried out.

Both floors are serviced with offices and stores.
Externally the new façade continues the theme of fair faced concrete blockwork and sinusoidal cladding and rainscreen cladding.

All works carried out in a live environment, H&S of staff and pupils was paramount as well as keeping disruption to teaching blocks to an absolute minimum.
